Morgan Kelly

Morgan Kelly (she/her) is a filmmaker and library worker. Her work is focused on nostalgia and found items that represent both her own past and that of those around her. She is a fan of stop motion and history, both of which feature prominently in her films.
She has had the pleasure of screening at the St. John's Women's International Film Festival, and working with CBC.
A short experimental project for a Creative Technologies - Expanded Screens course. Books used are A Treasury of the World's Greatest Fairy Tales, Vols. 1 & 2 by Helen Hyman, 1972.

Inspired by a set of illustrated fairy tale books by Helen Hyman, Tales explores the mythos and personal experiences surrounding fairy tales and children’s stories. By taking Hyman’s illustrations out of the pages and into the real world, there is a sense of fantasy versus reality within the piece.
